Typical love stories do not involve seaweed and aloe vera, but in the case of Wayne and Gerri Hillman, these plants have changed their lives, their health, and their marriage.
When she was in her mid-30's, Gerri began experiencing lethargy, fatigue, and symptoms of early menopause. "We didn't recognize what I had, so the treatments I did didn't seem to help," says Gerri, founder of Life Force International.
Wayne was intrigued by the benefits and nutrition sea plants provided the human body, and began considering the value they would have in improving his wife's health. As her health continued to deteriorate, Wayne took his ideas to a formulator who then helped him create what is today known as Body Balance.
"I was a little skeptical at first," Gerri says about Body Balance. "I wondered how a drink that tasted good could actually help me. Despite my doubts I took it religiously, and soon the headaches I had been plagued with disappeared and I generally started feeling better."
Wayne originally produced Body Balance in an effort to care for and love his wife, but Gerri's doctors, amazed with her results, encouraged them to make this revolutionary product available to them and their patients.
Aside from those few, they found success slow in coming until they met Dr. William J. Saccoman, a renowned specialist in alternative medicine. As a former president of the Sand Diego Clinic of Preventative Medicine, Dr. Saccoman had studied sea vegetation, and was intrigued by Wayne and Gerri's product that combined nutrient-rich sea vegetables with aloe vera. Thanks to his endorsement, Wayne and Gerri were able to launch Body Balance into the public arena.
Powerful Ingredients
Wayne and Gerri feel strongly that Body Balance contains ingredients that are important for optimal health but are commonly missing in the average diet. "There are many people who are nutrient-deprived," says Wayne, CEO and Founder of Life Force International.
Ken O'Connor, Chief Science Officer for Life Force International, agrees that most people are not getting all the nutrition their bodies need, and that depleted soil is not the only culprit. "Choices of what we eat and how much we eat play a large role in our overall health," Ken says. "We don't control our food supplies as much as we did in the past."
Ken says Body Balance can help fill the nutritional gaps created by poor food choices and the time constraints placed upon us by our hectic lives. "The unique nutrition in body Balance can help you achieve optimum health and provide certain nutrients that you're not going to get anywhere else," he says. "If the body doesn't get these nutrients, our quality of life and health will likely suffer."
Ken says the nine sea vegetables incorporated in Body Balance have incredible benefits for the body. "Sea plants are possibly the oldest living things on earth," he says.
One of the unique nutritional benefits that sea vegetables have over anything found in the average refrigerator vegetable drawer is the method by which they obtain minerals and nourishment while growing. "Sea vegetables get all of their nutrients from the nutrient-dense seawater surrounding them," Ken says. "Plants in the ocean are constantly being bathed in nutrient-rich waters fed from deep ocean currents. If the water around these plants becomes polluted or cloudy, they will die. Since sea vegetation can only flourish in clean, clear water, the sea vegetation is nutritionally clean as well."

Communication Is Key
To remain in a healthy state, the cells within the human body must communicate. When a cell needs nutrients, or is under attack by invading diseases, intercellular communication is vital to protecting its health. To do this, cells rely on glyconutrients, or essential sugars. "You can take all the vitamins and minerals you want, but if your cells cannot communicate their needs by building the glycoproteins necessary to deliver the right message, to the right place, then problems will occur," Ken says.
There are eight glyconutrients that the body's cells require to communicate properly. These eight glyconutrients are found in the highest concentrations in three sources: breast milk, sea vegetation, and aloe vera. "Aloe vera contains seven of the eight essential sugars, and sea vegetation contains five of the eight, making the combination found in Body Balance the next best thing to mother herself," Ken says.
This finding, however, is not an encouragement for consumers to begin chomping on seaweed and aloe vera plants, because not all aloe vera and sea vegetables are created equal. "There are many different types of aloe vera," Wayne says. "Our aloe is organically grown in rich volcanic soil and is certified by the International Aloe Science Council for quality and purity."
Even with the benefits aloe vera and sea vegetables lend to Body Balance, the product would serve no purpose if the body could not use the nutrients. In liquid form, Body Balance proves to be more bioavailable, or more readily absorbed, than its pill-form competitors. "Pills are only 10 to 20 percent absorbed by the body," Wayne says. "Whereas liquids, like Body Balance, are up to 98 percent absorbed."

true pioneer in nutrition and preventative medicine, Dr. Saccoman was the
inspiration for Life Force's Healthcare Professionals team. The Hillman family
has said that Dr. Saccoman was "their angel" who brought medical and
health expertise and encouragement to their fledgling business in the early days
of their effort to bring Body Balance to the world.
He continues to play a pivotal role in Life Force's future even beyond his passing. Dr. Saccoman initiated the first Nutrition Advisory Board, and was an ardent believer in the value of the Life Force products to enhance and improve the well being of his family, patients and all people. As an active member of the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine, his writings and clinical work focused on nutrition for health, and his work with Nobel Prize recipient Linus Pauling on the benefits of Vitamin C. Also a student of the late Hans Nieper, M.D., Dr. Saccoman founded the San Diego Clinic for Preventative Medicine which was noted for groundbreaking preventive health treatments.
Dr. Saccoman's legacy is embraced by the many quality healthcare professionals that use Life Force products in their clinical practice and is supported by high quality product development and manufacturing at Life Force's own facility.

Wayne and Gerri Hillman, founders, CEO
Throughout
their lives together Wayne and Gerri Hillman shared a dream. They had often
dreamt of being able to do something during their lives to leave a mark, to
make a difference. When Body Balance came into Gerri's life and she had such a
positive response to it, they looked upon this as their opportunity to make
that dream come true.
With their strong belief in this product and their desire to share it with others, they began promoting Body Balance through the medical arena through a company they called Doctor's Signature. For many years it was sold exclusively through health care providers. In January of 1995 they decided to make their products available to the general public through a referral marketing program, and Life Force International was born.
They believe Life Force offers a tremendous opportunity for anyone to change their life - physically by using the unique products that Life Force offers, and financially by sharing the products and business opportunity with others and building a lucrative business that provides a residual income. Life Force is truly a company formed to "Empower Human Potential", and that is the mission statement they have chosen.

Marjorie Lynn, Co-Founder, Vice-Chairman of the Board
Marjorie
Lynn graduated from college in 1989 with a degree in accounting and
business administration. While still attending college, she began helping
her parents Wayne and Gerri Hillman with their newly forming company
Doctor’s Signature. Working with them, and using her knowledge in
accounting and business administration, she became a valuable tool in
bringing about the success of Life Force’s parent company, Doctor’s
Signature. As Doctor’s Signature evolved into Life Force International
in 1996, she quickly utilized these skills and adapted them to the
referral marketing arena.
Over the years, Marjorie has been involved with virtually every aspect of the business and now concentrates her efforts in the area of finance. She uses her intricate knowledge of the compensation plan to assure that our members have the best of opportunities to build a secure and lasting future.
Iain Bratt, Executive VP
Iain
Bratt joined Life Force International in 1999 after spending more than 10
years as Director of Finance for Nature Sunshine Products, Europe. He also
represented Nature Sunshine for both the United Kingdom and Irish Direct
Selling Associations.
Iain’s finance career began as an articled trainee accountant in a branch of the British chain of Certified Accountants. His studies and qualifications have earned him a fellowship with a London Accounting Association. His past experience gives him extensive knowledge in international legalities and procedures.
As Chief Financial Officer for Life Force, Iain’s duties and responsibilities are extensive and include overseeing and directing treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long range forecasting, and insurance activities. His vast knowledge of the MLM industry and all of its intricacies are invaluable to the growth and success of Life Force International.
Kathy Meadows, Vice-President of Human Resources
Kathy
Meadows joined Life Force International in 1997 after a 12-year career
in the legal field, during which time she gained extensive knowledge in
many areas of law including business law.
Upon joining Life Force International, Kathy dedicated her time to learning the inter-workings of the company, its products, and compensations plan, along with OSHA Compliance, workplace safety, labor law compliance, and human resource management techniques and practices.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Kathy now works directly with the employees focusing her efforts on maintaining the company benefits packages such as 401k, medical and dental, and all Human Resource matters.
Alex Theis, Life Force Sales Director
Alex
comes to Life Force as a sales and management professional with a
thorough knowledge of the Direct Sales industry; both domestic and
international. He directed new international business launches,
including detailed training for European Union customer service center
and directly partnered with distributors worldwide, including Canada,
Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Alex has
12 years experience in the Network Marketing industry, spending time
with two different $20-million-per-month organizations as well as
directing the member support center for a multimillion dollar startup.
He has spent the last seven years dedicated to working directly with
field leaders in growing their business. As a field advocate at the
corporate level, Alex has created and executed highly successful
development and coaching programs with clear accountability and
performance plans. Alex comes to us from Phoenix, AZ with his wife and
children to join the Life Force team.
David Raphael, Managing Director of Life Force Australasia
David
Raphael joined Life Force International in 2001 and brought with him more
than 20 years experience in the network marketing industry. He has served in
general management roles with Usana and Enrich and other senior executive
roles in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
David has a very successful track record in opening up new markets and building thriving organizations from the grass roots level. He is very familiar with many of the Asia Pacific markets, having had significant hands-on experience in business development activities throughout the region as a direct result of living and working in Asia. This combines with a deep appreciation of the different cultures and business practices necessary to accelerate business growth.
David is responsible for administering and leading the sales effort in Australia and New Zealand, which includes coordinating motivational local training events, and localizing the Australasian market to mirror the very unique facilities at the home office in the United States.
Jon Shulin, Vice-President of Operations
Jon
Shulin joined Life Force International in 2004 bringing with him 8 years of
corporate leadership experience in our industry, encompassing many different
facets of customer service and marketing.
In his previous $20 million per month company, Jon not only solely managed the customer service team and all of its intricacies, but also the company’s Telecommunication and Facilities Department.
Jon’s many responsibilities at Life Force International include working closely with all customer service representatives to improve call efficiency, and employee product knowledge and training. He also works closely with the customer service team on promotional programs and supports, reviews, and helps with all facets of the weekly and monthly commission runs. Jon interacts regularly with the executive team and department heads to ensure that the company’s operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
Krystina Feucht, Director of Marketing
Having
had more than 10 years experience working in the nutritional network
marketing industry, Krystina joined Life Force International in 1998. Prior
to that her accomplishments include being a member of the American Marketing
Association, a five-year member of the National Dean’s List, a member of
the elite Golden Key International Honor Society, and a graduate of San
Diego State University with a Bachelor’s in Marketing.
Since joining Life Force International, Krystina has worked in many departments including Customer Service, Finance, and Compliance. During time spent in Compliance, she gained valuable information about FDA and FTC regulations in relation to marketing materials. Using that knowledge, she was able to enforce the integrity of Life Force and enhance the relationship between Life Force and its members.
Krystina’s current responsibilities as Director of Marketing include the Life Line quarterly magazine, eFlash, product promotions, bonus and commission enhancements, Platinum Academy and other trainings, and participates in developing company literature.
